Trapped Within My Own Walls: A Home Confinement Tale
The borders of my home became like a safe space. Now they press in, a constant reminder of my confined existence. Days bleed together, marked only by the click of the clock and the heavy weight in my chest. Every whisper from outside is a painful echo of the world beyond.

Surviving on Lockdown
Life as we experienced it has drastically altered. The world past our doors is a shadow of its former glory. We are now confined within the limits of our homes, forced to adjust to a new lifestyle. The days melt, marked by the cycle of online meetings, binging media, and baking. We long for the simple activities that were once granted for granted: a hike in the park, a cup of tea with friends, or even just a conversation without a screen between us.
This new situation has created challenges, but it has also unveiled unexpected strengths within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more patient, more creative, and more grateful for the simple things in life. As we navigate this new territory, we must stay hopeful that brighter days are near.
Freedom's Six-Foot Line
Life behind bars is a difficult reality. Every day, you face boundaries that feel like an unbreakable wall. The world outside seems so close, yet it's separated by just six feet.
Sometimes, the burden of those bars feels insurmountable. You desire freedom with every fiber of your being. Each new day serves as a constant echo that you're trapped.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a gleam of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be liberated. That day might seem distant, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Chains of Liberty
The allure with freedom can be a powerful force. Yet, paradoxically, it can also lead to imprisonment. This happens when the very notion with freedom becomes twisted, transforming into a weapon for control and oppression.
Authentic freedom requires not only the absence with external constraints but also home arrest the development of internal resilience. When this inner core is lacking, even amidst a society that preaches freedom, individuals can find themselves trapped within the boundaries of their own beliefs.
Finally, the true measure with freedom lies in our ability to break free the barriers that impede our potential, both externally and internally.
